What you will do

As a Data Governance Advisor, you will advise and guide clients in setting up and improving their data governance. You help organizations translate their data governance strategy into concrete processes, roles, and responsibilities. You will work with dgl’s Data Governance Framework and our software, supporting clients in successful implementation.

You act as a sparring partner for stakeholders at various levels and know how to simplify complex data governance issues into clear solutions. You also actively contribute to the further development of our methodologies and tools, using practical experience to propose improvements and innovations.

In short: you ensure that organizations gain control over their data and make the right choices for the future.

What we ask

  • Bachelor’s or Master’s degree (e.g., Business Administration, Information Science, Data Science, or a related field)
  • At least 5 years of relevant work experience, preferably in roles such as Data Governance Consultant, Data Manager, Business Analyst, or similar
  • Thorough knowledge of data governance, data quality, metadata, and master data management
  • Experience advising organizations and guiding the implementation of frameworks or processes
  • Strong stakeholder management skills: able to engage with both business and IT and demonstrate persuasive communication
  • Analytical ability and strategic insight: able to connect the dots and guide decision-making
  • Experience with agile and project-based work
  • Excellent communication skills: able to explain complex topics clearly and accessibly
  • Preferred: certification in DAMA-DMBOK or other relevant frameworks (e.g., CIMP, DGSP, BABOK)
